The summer heat is on, and ...Don’t settle for plain BBQ sauce! Make these instead: Ingredients: Pineapple Brown Sugar Barbecue Sauce • 12-14 oz. of pineapple juice • 1½ c. brown sugar, lightly packed • 1 tsp. garlic • 4 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce • 1½ c. ketchup • 2 pinches of red pepper flakes • 1 tsp. onion powder • 2 pinches of salt, to taste • 4 tbsp. cornstarch • 4 tbsp. water Instructions: 1. Combine all ingredients in a medium-size pot, except for the cornstarch and the water, and allow to come to a boil. 2. Reduce heat to medium-low and simmer for 10-15 minutes. 3. Mix equal parts cornstarch and water. Slowly add to the sauce until desired consistency. 4. Remove from heat and allow to cool before refrigerating. Store in a squeeze bottle or airtight container Ingredients: Spicy Mango Barbecue Sauce • 1 mango, peeled and cubed • ½ medium red onion, diced • 2 cloves garlic • 1½ c. ketchup • 3 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce • 2 tbsp. apple cider vinegar • 2 tsp. chili powder • ½ tsp. salt Instructions: 1. Puree mango, onion, and garlic in a food processor until smooth. 2. Combine puree with the remaining ingredients in a saucepan, stir until combined. 3. Cook over medium heat for 10-15 minutes, stirring occasionally. 4.
